Vismed Gel 0.45ml, 20 ST

Vismed Gel contains natural hyaluronic acid and essential electrolytes in a hypotonic formulation.

Thanks to its high hyaluronic acid content, Vismed Gel is the solution for lasting relief from persistent dryness of the eye.

Vismed Gel also contains electrolytes and moisturises the tissue. Due to its high concentration, Vismed Gel feels particularly silky smooth on the eye and needs to be applied less frequently than eye drops.

Areas of application

• For sustained moistening of the eye in case of subjectively perceived dryness as well as burning and tired eyes and other minor discomfort without disease value, caused e.g. by dust, smoke, dry heat, air-conditioned air, wind, cold, prolonged screen work, contact lens wear or ophthalmological examination procedures.

Properties and mode of action

• VISMED® GEL contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer that also occurs in the structures of the human eye. The special physical characteristics of sodium hyaluronate give VISMED® GEL its important viscoelastic and water-binding properties. VISMED® GEL forms a stable layer on the surface of the eye, which is only gradually removed by blinking. VISMED® GEL therefore combines a long-lasting effect with maximum comfort. VISMED® GEL is excellently tolerated due to its special composition. VISMED® GEL is free from preservatives.

How to use

Unscrew the cap from the single-dose container and hold the opening of the container over the eye to be treated: VISMED® Gel can be easily removed from the container by light finger pressure. Unless otherwise recommended, instil 1 - 2 drops of VISMED® Gel into the conjunctival sac as required. The solution is distributed by blinking and forms a transparent and durable layer of liquid on the surface of the eye. VISMED® Gel can also be used while wearing hard or soft contact lenses.

Ingredients

1 ml hypotonic solution contains 3.0 mg hyaluronic acid, sodium salt as well as sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium citrate, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, water for injection.

Notes

Do not touch the drip opening of the ampoule and do not bring it to the eye. Do not use damaged ampoules of VISMED® Gel. As VISMED® Gel does not contain any preservatives, leftover solution should not be used.

Store between 2°C and 25°C! Do not use after the expiry date. If your symptoms persist while using VISMED® Gel or recur after discontinuing VISMED® Gel, you should seek medical treatment. Keep out of the reach of children.
