Vit. B6 "Agepha" tablets are used to treat a vitamin B6 deficiency. A pure vitamin B6 deficiency is rare in humans.

However, vitamin B6 requirements are not always met in various risk groups (e.g. pregnant women, the elderly). A vitamin B6 deficiency is often associated with an undersupply of other B-complex vitamins. The clinical symptoms vary. A severe vitamin B6 deficiency in humans mainly manifests itself in the form of skin rashes and inflammation, in the eye and nose area, inflammation in the mouth and on the lips, anaemia and nervous disorders.

Vitamin B6 cannot be produced by the body itself, but must be supplied from outside, which is generally ensured by a balanced diet. Larger amounts of vitamin B6 are found in yeast, cereals (especially grain sprouts), soya beans, liver, muscle meat, milk, dairy products, green vegetables, potatoes, carrots and bananas.

How to use

Always take Vit. B6 "Agepha" tablets exactly as directed by your doctor. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is 1 tablet once a day. The tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid.
Use in children and adolescents: Vit. B6 "Agepha" tablets are not recommended for children and adolescents due to the lack of data on safety and efficacy.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: 24.3 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride corresponding to 20 mg pyridoxine (vitamin B6) per tablet.
The other ingredients are Lactose monohydrate, potato starch, povidone K 25, magnesium stearate.
