Instructions
- Warm the Uro-Tainer® in lukewarm water to body temperature. Meanwhile, disinfect your hands thoroughly. Where possible, wear disposable gloves.
- Open the plastic wrapper and remove the Uro-Tainer® .
- Close the Uro-Tainer® tube with the plastic clamp.
- Peel the safety seal off the cap. Twist and remove the cap without touching the sterile connection cone.
- Open the clamp and allow a few drops of the Uro-Tainer® flushing solution to flow into the catheter to remove any air pockets.
- Insert the connection cone into the catheter funnel and allow the Uro-Tainer® flushing solution to flow in.
- Hold the Uro-Tainer® above bladder level and let the fluid flow in by gravity. Do not apply any pressure to the bag. Close the plastic clamp. Do not detach the bag from the catheter.
- After 5 minutes, open the clamp and lower the Uro-Tainer® below the level of the bladder, so that the fluid flows back into the bag. When the bag is full, close the tube with the clamp and detach the connector from the catheter by turning it gently. Connect the drainage bag to the catheter and dispose of the Uro-Tainer® after use. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. and detach the connector from the catheter by turning it gently. Connect the drainage bag to the catheter and dispose of the Uro-Tainer® after use. Disinfect your hands. Use the Uro-Tainer® only for single use.
