Traumon® Gel is a medicinal product for the treatment of swelling and pain after blunt injuries, sprains, effusions and sports injuries, lumbago, stiff neck and muscle tension.
Traumon Gel is a medicinal product for use on the skin. Etofenamate, the active ingredient in Traumon Gel, belongs to the group of non-steroidal (cortisone-free) anti-inflammatory drugs and has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.
The active ingredient etofenamate quickly penetrates the skin and reaches the diseased tissue areas. Applying the gel to the skin initially produces a slight cooling effect. If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

gel
How to use
- Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dosage is 3 to 4 times a day - depending on the size of the painful areas - apply a thin layer of gel 5 cm to 10 cm long and rub in gently. A 5-10 cm long strand corresponds to approximately 1.7 - 3.3 g of cream (equivalent to 170 to 330 mg etofenamate). The maximum daily dose is 1320 mg etofenamate.
- Patients with impaired liver/kidney function: No dose adjustment is necessary in the case of liver and/or kidney dysfunction.
- Children and adolescents: Traumon - Gel must not be used in children and adolescents as there is insufficient experience for this age group.
- Method of application: For application to the skin. Apply the gel externally and rub in as much as possible over the painful area. Please wash your hands after applying Traumon - Gel to prevent the gel from accidentally getting into your eyes.
- Duration of use: The duration of use depends on the duration of the symptoms. In the case of blunt injuries (e.g. sports injuries), the duration of treatment can be up to 2 weeks. If the symptoms persist, consult a doctor who will decide on the further course of action.
