The active ingredients acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol contained in Thomapyrin have a rapid onset, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect. The third active ingredient, caffeine, has been shown to enhance the analgesic effect of the combination of acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol and reduces fatigue and tiredness in colds.
Thomapyrin is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 to 18 years to relieve
- Headaches (especially tension headaches) and migraine attacks with and without aura
- mild to moderate pain such as toothache, menstrual pain; as well as to relieve pain and reduce fever in colds and flu-like infections.

Thomapyrin® combines its three active ingredients ASA, paracetamol and caffeine in such an ideal way that the pain-relieving effect is enhanced.
But why is this actually the case?
The special feature of Thomapyrin® is that, unlike many other headache remedies, it does not contain just one active ingredient, but three active ingredients that complement each other in their effect.
ASA and paracetamol reinforce each other in their anti-pain effect and the caffeine they contain further increases the effect. In addition, the dose of the individual active ingredients per tablet can be kept as low as possible.
Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over: 1 - 2 tablets up to 3 times a day, a daily dose of 6 tablets (corresponding to 1.5 g acetylsalicylic acid, 1.2 g paracetamol and 300 mg caffeine) should not be exceeded.
- Adolescents from 12 to 14 years and 30 kg bw: ½ to 1 tablet up to 3 times daily, a daily dose of 3 tablets (corresponding to 750 mg acetylsalicylic acid, 600 mg paracetamol and 150 mg caffeine) should not be exceeded. The interval between individual doses should be at least 4 hours.
- Method of administration: Oral use. Take the tablets with plenty of liquid or allow the tablets to disintegrate in liquid and drink plenty of liquid. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.
- Duration of use: Thomapyrin must not be taken for longer than 3 to 4 days (maximum 10 days) for pain and not for longer than 3 days for fever without a doctor's prescription.
- The interval between individual doses should be at least 4 hours.
Ingredients
- The active ingredients are: 1 tablet contains 250 mg acetylsalicylic acid, 200 mg paracetamol and 50 mg caffeine .
- The other ingredients are Lactose (lactose monohydrate), maize starch, stearic acid.
