Strepsils 8.75 mg/dose spray, 15 ml

The active ingredient is flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines work by affecting the body’s response to pain, swelling and fever.

Strepsils Spray is used for the short-term relief of symptoms associated with a sore throat, such as inflammation of the throat lining, pain, difficulty swallowing and swelling, in adults aged 18 and over.

To enable you to get back to your daily work or personal routine as quickly as possible, rapid and long-lasting relief from a sore throat is particularly desirable.

Strepsils® Spray Simply spray into the throat when you have a sore throat. Inflammation and pain are relieved quickly and last for up to 6 hours. The spray bottle’s special nozzle ensures optimal distribution throughout the throat. Thanks to its compact, pocket-sized design, the spray is handy for when you’re out and about. Directions for use

The recommended dose for adults aged 18 and over is: Spray 3 sprays into the back of the throat every 3–6 hours as required. Do not use more than 5 doses within a 24-hour period. One dose (3 sprays) contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen.

Use in children and adolescents: Do not use this medicine in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

Method of administration: For use in the mouth only.

• Spray only into the back of the throat.
• Do not breathe in whilst spraying.
• Do not use more than 5 doses (15 sprays) in 24 hours.

Duration of use: Strepsils Spray is intended for short-term use only. Use as few doses as possible for as short a period as necessary to relieve your symptoms. If irritation occurs in the mouth, treatment with flurbiprofen should be discontinued. Do not use this medicine for longer than 3 days unless your doctor has prescribed it.
