Skin, Hair and Nails TriComplex

A finely balanced TriKomplex that combines the power of medicinal mushrooms with essential vitamins, the mineral zinc, silica and high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid.

Medicinal mushrooms are rich in active biological substances and are also referred to as complex mixtures of multiple substances. They contain, amongst other things, polysaccharides, beta-glucans, triterpenes, polyphenols and bioactive proteins. Mushroom extract has a higher concentration of beta-glucans and polysaccharides than mushroom powder. The polysaccharide content of our high-quality mushroom extract is standardised to 30 per cent. Our reishi extract is also standardised to 20% beta-glucans and 2% triterpenes.

• Polyporus is a popular edible mushroom and is particularly widespread in Asia. It has been used in traditional Chinese nutrition for over 2,000 years and is regarded there primarily as a yin-nourishing agent.
• Reishi is held in similarly high regard to ginseng, particularly in Japan and China. It is also known as the ‘divine mushroom of spiritual power’, as it is said to be capable of balancing the polar forces of yin and yang.
• The formula contains important vitamins such as vitamin A from beta-carotene, vitamin E, vitamin C and biotin. Beta-carotene is a carotenoid, a group of secondary plant compounds that give plants their yellow to reddish colour. These compounds help plants protect themselves from excessive UV radiation. Beta-carotene acts as a precursor to vitamin A and is converted into this vitamin by the body as and when required.
• Vitamin A (retinol) is a fat-soluble vitamin that performs a variety of functions in the body. It helps maintain healthy skin and mucous membranes, plays a role in iron metabolism and is important for cell specialisation.
• Vitamins E and C help to protect cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C (Ester-C®) also contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin and blood vessels.
• Biotin ( vitamin B7) and zinc make an important contribution to the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails.
• Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the human body, particularly in the skin, joints and connective tissue. It has the ability to bind large amounts of water.
• Silica occurs in various forms in nature and is a collective term for minerals and sediments with a high silicon content. Silicon is one of the essential trace elements.
