Active ingredients

• Calcium butyrate ^ButiShieldTM: ^ButiShieldTM is produced using the patented MicroPEARLSTM spray-freezing technology and is a source of butyrate that minimises the characteristic odour and ensures a gradual and targeted release in the intestine. Butyrate (butyric acid) is produced by the human intestinal microbiota through the fermentation of carbohydrates.
• Glycine: Glycine is a natural amino acid found in the body's proteins and in food. It is involved in numerous basic physiological processes, such as protein synthesis and normal cellular activity. Glycine is produced by the body, but can also be obtained from food.
• Vitamin D3: Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be obtained from food, but is mainly produced by the body through exposure to sunlight. Its active form acts via the vitamin D receptor (VDR), which is present in the intestine and in immune cells, and contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
• Vitamin C: Vitamin C has many important functions for the body and therefore plays a major role in health. If little fruit and vegetables are consumed, it can be useful to support the diet with vitamin C supplements. Among other things, vitamin C contributes to normal mental function and a normal immune system.

The intestinal barrier

Release tests

The competitor products release 45-70% of the butyrate in the stomach and reach a release of 85-90% after 8 hours. BUTIRBIOMA STICK, on the other hand, shows a release of about 50% after 8 hours and a retention of the remaining part for the large intestine. The 72-hour test shows that the release of BUTIRBIOMA STICK is gradual, long-lasting and occurs over the entire gastrointestinal tract.

How to use

Gradually pour the contents of one sachet into the mouth and allow to dissolve. Alternatively, the contents of the stick sachet can be stirred into yoghurt or quark and consumed. Take 1 to 2 times a day.
