SABE belle BIOMALIFE® LACTOBIOMA capsules are a dietary supplement containing probiotics based on Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM® and Lactobacillus casei Lc-11, in vegetable capsules.

The gut microbiota

The gut is a complex ecosystem in which the gut microbiota, the gut barrier, the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) and a coordinated nervous system work together, thereby making the gut our so-called ‘second brain’.
A quantitatively and qualitatively balanced bacterial flora (eubiosis) is essential for proper gut function, as it helps to ward off foreign microorganisms, promote digestion and the absorption of nutrients, stimulate the GALT, and contribute to the excretion of potentially harmful metabolites as well as to vitamin synthesis. The composition of the bacterial flora can be altered by external stimuli such as stress, changes in dietary habits and the use of antibiotics. In such cases, taking probiotics can help to restore its balance.

Active ingredients

Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM®: The NCFM® bacterial strain has been investigated in over 80 clinical studies, which demonstrate its efficacy in treating various gastrointestinal complaints. Numerous studies document that this bacterial strain possesses specific molecules that enable it to adhere to the intestinal mucosa, withstand the chemical and physical conditions of the gastrointestinal environment, and colonise the mucosa. It also efficiently metabolises various types of dietary fibre, including GOS and inulin. With regard to lactose digestion, lactobacilli such as NCFM® can act as a source of lactase in the small intestine, thereby helping to alleviate symptoms in people with lactose intolerance. It has also been documented that this strain has a positive effect on the modulation of abdominal pain: following administration of NCFM®, there is an increase in the expression of M-opioid receptors (MOR).
Lactobacillus casei Lc-11: The bacterium L. casei naturally colonises the human gastrointestinal tract. Numerous studies have shown that this strain, isolated from dairy products, is very safe and resistant to the environment of the digestive tract. Furthermore, L. casei supports the growth of the bacterium L. acidophilus. The high resistance of this probiotic strain to the acidic pH in the stomach and the high concentration of bile acids in the duodenum has been demonstrated. In vitro, the strain demonstrates good adhesion to intestinal cell lines and the ability to inhibit many common pathogens (Salmonella, S. aureus, E. coli, Listeria).

Directions for use

Take 1 capsule daily, preferably in the morning with breakfast, with a little water.
Notes: Suitable for children aged 3 and over. Safe to use during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
