REDUKTOR® Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops Multidose, 10 ML

REDUKTOR® eye drops are an ophthalmic solution designed to protect and repair the corneal and conjunctival epithelium, with an anti-inflammatory effect. Reduktor is an innovative antiseptic based on chlorhexidine.

Antiseptic eye drops for bacterial and viral eye infections

REDUKTOR® is, for example, ideally suited for rapid use in day-to-day practice for non-specific eye infections, in emergency situations (such as night shifts) and should also be a staple in any travel first-aid kit.

It is indicated for adults and children for the treatment of symptoms such as a burning sensation, itching, photophobia, a foreign body sensation and redness of the eyes associated with persistent inflammation of the ocular surface and adnexa, such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, dacryocystitis, meibomitis and dry eye syndrome.

Chlorhexidine (CHX) has also been used repeatedly in ophthalmology because it is significantly better tolerated than other antiseptics. Chlorhexidine has a very broad spectrum of activity and is effective against bacteria, viruses and protozoa such as Acanthamoeba. Reduktor is highly and rapidly effective against numerous important Gram-positive bacteria such as S. aureus and S. epidermidis, as well as against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli.

Indications

REDUKTOR® is indicated as an adjuvant in the following cases:

• for pre-operative prophylaxis
• for the treatment of conjunctival infections
• for the treatment of corneal infections
• in the treatment of infections of the adnexa (eyelid margins, tear ducts, eyelashes)
• for the treatment of conjunctivitis
• for the treatment of keratitis
• for the treatment of tearing

Multidose eye drops

Directions for use

1. Open the bottle and remove the protective cap;
2. Gently squeeze the bottle and instil 1–2 drops into the eye.

Notes: Close the bottle after use: any remaining contents can be reused for up to 28 days after first opening. Suitable for contact lens wearers

Composition: Vitamin E TPGS, dibasic sodium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, chlorhexidine digluconate, purified water.
