Nutrof® Total is a food supplement with antioxidant* vitamins and trace elements, lutein, zeaxanthin, omega-3 fatty acids (polyunsaturated) and grapevine extract (Vitis Vinifera) with 5% resveratrol and vitamin D3.

The eye is one of the most complex sensory organs in the human body. It is of crucial importance when it comes to maintaining quality of life and independent living into old age. One of the most common causes of degenerative changes, i.e. functional impairment or loss, are free radicals that damage the cells. Within the body's own protective system, these free radicals are combated by antioxidants, so-called radical scavengers.

This antioxidant protection system is weakened by age or degenerative changes ("oxidative stress"). This is when a good supply of antioxidant nutrients is particularly important. Numerous studies have shown that the regular intake of vitamins, minerals and trace elements is essential for restoring the balance between free radicals and antioxidants.

Lutein + zeaxanthin

These colour pigments from the carotenoid family found in plants are present in the eye in high concentrations in the macula (yellow spot) - the area of sharpest vision. Here they filter harmful, short-wave light radiation like 'natural sunglasses'. Carotenoids are essential nutrients that can be absorbed almost exclusively through food.

Active ingredients

• Antioxidant cell protection: Vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, copper and selenium contribute to antioxidant cell protection.
• Vitamin C: Vitamin C is found in fruit and vegetables.
• Vitamin E: Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils.
• Zinc: Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal visual function. Zinc is found in meat and fish.
• Copper: Offal, shellfish and dried fruit contain copper.
• Selenium: Selenium is found in fish, shellfish, eggs, garlic, mushrooms, meat and cereals.
• Lutein and zeaxanthin: are yellow colour pigments found in high concentrations in green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli and lettuce.
• Essential fatty acids: Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) are polyunsaturated fatty acids and belong to the family of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that cannot be produced by the body and must therefore be obtained from food. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in oily fish such as tuna, salmon and herring.
• Grapevine extract (Vitis Vinifera) with 5% resveratrol: Grapes are rich in polyphenols including resveratrol, which is found in certain fruits, especially grapes, and in wine.
• Vitamin D3: Vitamin D3 is found in oily fish such as tuna, salmon and herring.

• 1 capsule daily with a glass of water with a meal.
