Amine fluoride compounds are said to have high plaque-reducing effects. The use of mirafluor c amine fluoride toothpaste (1,250 ppm fluoride) leads to an increased fluoride concentration in the saliva, which has a caries-inhibiting effect. Thanks to the surface activity, the amine fluorides are quickly distributed in the oral cavity, evenly covering the tooth surfaces with a homogeneous, molecular layer and bringing the fluoride to where it is needed. The consistency of the film prevents it from being quickly washed out by saliva.
