Mexaratio 200 mg/5 ml syrup is a medicine with the analgesic and antipyretic active ingredient paracetamol. To be taken for fever and pain, such as menstrual pain, headaches or toothache.

Mexaratio 200 mg/5 ml syrup is used for:

Mild to moderately severe pain (such as headache, toothache, period pain)
Fever and pain associated with colds and flu-like infections

If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.

How to use

The respective single dose can be calculated as follows: 10 - 15 mg paracetamol per kg body weight, up to 4 times daily.

This generally results in the following dosage:

Children from the age of 2 years:

2 - 5 years (13 to 18 kg): 5 ml syrup (equivalent to 200 mg paracetamol) up to a maximum of 4 times daily
5 - 8 years (19 to 25 kg): 7.5 ml syrup (equivalent to 300 mg paracetamol) up to a maximum of 4 times a day
8 - 11 years (26 - 42 kg): 10 ml syrup (equivalent to 400 mg paracetamol) up to a maximum of 4 times a day

This medicine may only be administered to children under 3 years of age on a doctor's prescription.

Children under 2 years of age: Mexalen 200 mg/5 ml syrup is not suitable for children under 2 years of age because the active substance content is too high. Mexalen is available for them in another pharmaceutical form with a suitable active substance content. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice on this.

Adolescents from the age of 12 and adults (from 43 kg body weight): Up to a maximum of 4 times daily 12.5 ml syrup (corresponding to 500 mg paracetamol); the maximum daily dose of 50 ml syrup (corresponding to 2000 mg paracetamol) must not be exceeded.

Route of administration: Oral use. Take the syrup independently of meals according to the dosage instructions using the enclosed measuring cup. The interval between two applications should be at least 6 hours.

Duration of use: The duration of use should be limited to the duration of the illness. If the symptoms persist for longer than 3 days, a doctor must be consulted.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: Paracetamol 5 ml syrup contains 200 mg paracetamol.
The other ingredients are: macrogol 400, glycerol 85%, saccharin sodium, sodium disulphite (E 223), citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, acesulfame potassium, orange flavouring, purified water.
