Spirulina platensis is a blue-green micro-algae that is one of the oldest forms of life. Spirulina is rich in vital substances such as iron, calcium, vitamin A and vitamin C and is an excellent source of vegetable protein. 100g of spirulina powder contains 60g of protein. Another important component of spirulina is alpha-linoleic acid, which is considered a free radical scavenger.
Various scientific studies have investigated the positive properties of spirulina in relation to the immune system and allergy support.
