Why use milk thistle patches?

As the most important detoxification organ, the liver is a regulator and cleansing system for our body. In Japan, herbs have been applied to the reflex zones of the feet as compresses for centuries and have been one of the most effective forms of application in traditional Japanese medicine ever since. According to current research, the active ingredient complex silymarin is said to have a liver-protecting, liver-strengthening and detoxifying function, thus confirming the traditional use of milk thistle as a medicinal plant to support the liver. Milk thistle is used in herbal medicine for Liver and biliary complaints, inflammatory liver diseases (viral hepatitis), liver cirrhosis, stomach and intestinal complaints, travel sickness, congestion in the venous area, trigeminal neuralgia, disorders of the autonomic nervous system, migraines and alcohol abuse.

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) has been used as a liver remedy for more than 2,000 years. Other names include crown of Christ, fever thistle, thorn thistle, lady's thistle, grains of Mary or prickly thistle. This herbaceous plant, which grows to a height of around 250 cm, originates from southern Europe, southern Russia, Asia Minor and North Africa. The leaves are green-white marbled and spiny-toothed. The petals are purple-red in colour and produce seed-like fruits. Milk thistle is cultivated in gardens and grows wild on rubble fields, roadsides, pastures and dry, stony soils.

Application:

Apply primarily overnight to the corresponding reflex zones on the soles of the feet.
Can also be used during the day if more active ingredient is required.
