Borage oil is extracted from the borage plant (Borago officinalis). Borage contains mucilage, saponins, tannins and mineral salts. The seeds have the highest natural content of gamma-linolenic acid.
Borage oil supports the healing of inflamed skin areas due to its high content of gamma-linolenic acid. In particular, the oil has a positive influence on the condition of the skin. Borage oil has a normalising effect, especially on dry skin. Vitamin E helps to protect the cells from oxidative stress and promotes regeneration and supports the protection of the physiological skin balance. The oil is not only a valuable dietary supplement but is also used in cosmetic products.
