Nasal rinsing for nasal care
Where there is an increased risk of infection or exposure to irritants in the workplace – for example, due to dry air in offices or increased dust exposure in workshops – nasal rinsing should be part of your regular routine: For nasal care, to prevent colds, and as a quick remedy for allergies. At the same time, nasal rinsing clears the nose of everyday irritants such as (household) dust.
Nasal rinsing for a cold
As soon as your nose starts to tingle and you feel a cold coming on, nasal rinses can often prevent the cold from taking hold.
This is because natural Emser salt supports the nasal mucosa’s self-cleansing function and actively helps to loosen mucus. This means that colds and similar ailments stand little chance.
If you do catch a cold, nasal rinses quickly and gently clear the nose and support the healing process.

Form
Directions for use
- Nasal rinsing is most comfortable when the rinse solution is lukewarm. The salt must be completely dissolved beforehand by shaking the bottle.
- Open your mouth wide whilst rinsing; this allows the water to flow easily into one nostril and out of the other – rather than down your throat.
- Some residual solution may collect in the recesses of your nose. This can be easily removed by tilting your head and turning it to the left and right a few times – ideally over the washbasin!
- Please note:Rinsing with plain water is not recommended, as it can irritate the nasal mucosa and cause painful swelling!
- Dosage: 1–3 times a day as required
- Duration of use: May also be used for an unlimited period
- Contents: 1 nasal douche, 4 sachets of Emser nasal rinse salt
How to use the EMSER nasal douche:
- First, fill the Emser nasal douche with lukewarm water up to the fill line, add one sachet of Emser nasal rinse salt or one sachet of Emser salt, and close the nasal douche. How to use the Emser nasal douche.

- Fold up the nasal tip, place it against your nostril and open your mouth wide. How to use the Emser nasal douche.
- By lifting your index finger off the cap valve, you can start the flow of the rinse solution and regulate the pressure by squeezing the nasal irrigator.
