- Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids and are essential for our bodies. However, we cannot produce them ourselves and are therefore dependent on an external supply. Consciously avoiding animal food sources (especially oily sea fish) makes it much more difficult to absorb the most important omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Many people don't realise this: The often recommended plant-based alternatives such as linseed and hemp oil contain the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid. This can only be slightly converted into EPA and DHA. The sustainably cultivated microalgae Schizochytrium sp., on the other hand, represents a sensible alternative for the supply of EPA and DHA.
- Astaxanthin (AstaFit®), which is also obtained from algae, belongs to the carotenoid group and is formed as soon as the algae is exposed to external stress factors. The formation of astaxanthin (recognisable by a discolouration of the algae from green to red) enables the plant to survive even under the most adverse conditions. Due to the characteristic red colour of astaxanthin and its sustainable cultivation in Styria, the patented ingredient AstaFit® is also known as the "red diamond" from Austria. The special thing about it is that this naturally obtained astaxanthin has a high bioavailability compared to synthetic production.

Directions
- Take 1 capsule daily, unchewed with a little liquid, preferably with or after a meal.
- Advice: The daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA (1 capsule) supports normal heart function. The total intake of 5,000 mg EPA and DHA combined must not be exceeded.
