- The local analgesic active ingredient benzocaine quickly relieves pain without unnecessarily numbing.
- The anti-infective tyrothricin has excellent antibacterial properties and therefore acts reliably against bacterial pathogens. Tyrothricin also has antiviral effects and local immunostimulant properties in combination with the other active ingredients.
- The local antiseptic active ingredient benzalkonium chloride optimally complements tyrothricin in its effect.
Dosage form
Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: 1-2 lozenges several times a day (every 2-3 hours). A daily dose of 8 lozenges should not be exceeded.
- Children: There are no studies on children under 12 years of age that prove the safety and efficacy of Dorithricin Throat Tablets Wild Berry in this age group. Therefore, no dosage recommendation can be given for children and adolescents aged 6 - 11 years. Use in children under 6 years of age is not recommended, as controlled sucking cannot be guaranteed in this age group. Dorithricin Throat Tablets Wild Berry must not be used in children under 2 years of age (infants and young children), as the correct method of administration (sucking) cannot be guaranteed.
- Method of application: For use in the oral cavity. Allow Dorithricin Throat Tablets Wild Berry to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Do not allow to dissolve in the cheek pocket and do not bite or swallow. Dorithricin Throat Tablets Wild Berry should not be used shortly before or after brushing your teeth, as their effectiveness is reduced by toothpaste. Treatment with Dorithricin Throat Tablets Wild Berry should be continued for one day after the symptoms have subsided.
- Duration of use: If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 days, consult your doctor.
- Note for diabetics: The sugar substitute sorbitol contained in 1 lozenge corresponds to approx. 0.07 bread units (BE). Also suitable for diabetics.
Ingredients
- The active ingredients are: 1 lozenge contains: Tyrothricin 0.5 mg, benzalkonium chloride 1.0 mg, benzocaine 1.5 mg.
- The other ingredients are: Sorbitol (E 420), talc, sucrose stearate type III, saccharin sodium dihydrate, flavouring (contains Ponceau 4R (E 124)), povidone K25, carmellose sodium.
