Doppelherz Eye Drops Allergen PROTECT is a medical device for use on the eye. It is sterile and preservative-free. It contains hyaluronic acid, rosmarinic acid and vitamin B12 and therefore has a moisturising, lubricating and antioxidant effect and increases lubrication.

For seasonal allergies

Doppelherz Eye Drops Allergen PROTECT is suitable for dry eyes, e.g. in the case of eye allergies or other eye complaints caused by environmental or mechanical stress. The eye drops relieve the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, even if these are associated with dry eye syndrome. In fact, it restores tear volume, removes allergens from the tear film by inducing blinking as a result of dripping and counteracts the phenomenon of oxidation by strengthening physiological antioxidant mechanisms. Thus, the eye drops also reduce mild to moderate symptoms of dry eye associated with itching, burning and foreign body sensation.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a biocompatible polymer and occurs naturally in many human tissues. It gives the product a lubricating effect thanks to its viscoelastic and water-retaining properties. It also restores tear volume. Rosmarinic acid and vitamin B12 are antioxidant substances that react with free radicals and neutralise them. The antioxidant effect takes place on the corneal surface.

Antioxidant effect

Doppelherz Eye Drops Allergen PROTECT, in combination with rosmarinic acid and vitamin B12, has an antioxidant activity that counteracts the effect of free radicals (generated on the surface of the eye after sun exposure), which over time damage both the pigment epithelium and the photoreceptors, inducing macular degeneration and causing crystalline opacification with the onset of cataracts.

Doppelherz Eye Drops Allergen PROTECT are also indicated for frequent and prolonged use. Doppelherz Eye Drops Allergen PROTECT can be used with daily disposable contact lenses: A slight difference in the colour of the lenses when removing them does not affect the optical properties.

How to use

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
Remove the tamper-evident closure before first use.
Remove the protective cap.
Press the container and instil 2 drops into each eye, unless otherwise prescribed.
Wait a few seconds after each drop without pressing on the bottle. This allows sufficient air to flow back into the system. Otherwise it will be more difficult to get the drops out.
The gradual emptying of the bottle may require a higher pressure to dispense the product. This is due to the characteristics of the closure system, which preserves the sterility as well as the chemical and physical properties of preservative-free solutions. In addition, a small amount of solution always remains in the bottle.
Shake off the remaining drop from the tip after use.
Close the bottle with the cap immediately after use.
Do not replace the protective cap if the container is still compressed.
Do not bring the dropper tip into contact with anything, not even your eyes or fingers.
The product can be used for up to 3 months after the first opening.
