Dolgit akut® pain cream, 50 mg/g cream, 100 G

Dolgit akut® pain cream is a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory medicine for rubbing into the skin, with the active ingredient: ibuprofen.

As the active ingredient ibuprofen is dissolved in the cream base, it is quickly absorbed by the skin and thus reaches the affected tissue areas directly. Dolgit acute® pain cream has a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. Swelling subsides. The ability to move is noticeably improved. The effect sets in after about 30 minutes and lasts for several hours.

• For use in adults and adolescents aged 14 and over

How to use

• Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over: Dolgit akut® pain cream is applied 3 - 4 times a day. Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, a 4 - 10 cm long strip of cream corresponding to 2 - 5 g of cream (100 - 250 mg ibuprofen) is required. The maximum total daily dose is 20 g cream corresponding to 1 000 mg ibuprofen.
• Children and adolescents under 14 years of age: There is no experience of use in children and adolescents under 14 years of age, therefore Dolgit acute® pain cream must not be used in this age group.
• Route of administration: For application to the skin. Do not ingest! Apply the cream to intact skin and rub in generously. In the case of severe bruising and sprains, it may be useful to apply an airtight bandage at the start of treatment. Increased penetration of the active ingredient through the skin can be achieved by using iontophoresis (a special form of electrotherapy). Dolgit akut® pain cream should be applied under the cathode (negative pole). The current intensity should be 0.1 - 0.5 mA per 5 cm² electrode surface, the application time approx. 10 minutes. Simultaneous treatment with ibuprofen preparations for oral use is possible.
• Duration of application: The duration of treatment is decided by the attending physician. As a rule, application over 2 - 3 weeks is sufficient. The therapeutic benefit of use beyond this period has not been proven. If symptoms persist for longer than 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Ingredients

• The active ingredient is: Ibuprofen 1 g Dolgit akut® pain cream contains 50 mg ibuprofen. 1 g of cream corresponds to about 2 cm of cream.
• The other ingredients are Sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 219), medium-chain triglycerides, glycerol monostearate (E 471), macrogol stearate 1 500, macrogol stearate 5000, propylene glycol (E 1520), xanthan gum (E 415), lavender oil, orange blossom oil, purified water.
