DicloAkut forte pain gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac. DicloAkut forte Schmerzgel belongs to the group of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/anti-rheumatics (NSAIDs; anti-inflammatory drugs). The gel is intended to be rubbed into the skin.

DicloAkut forte pain gel has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect and helps to reduce swelling in muscle and joint pain.

DicloAkut forte pain gel is used to treat the following complaints:

Adolescents aged 14 and over

DicloAkut forte pain gel is used for:

Localised short-term treatment of muscle and joint injuries such as sprains, strains, dislocations and bruises (sports injuries).

Adults

DicloAkut forte pain gel is used for:

local treatment of muscle and joint injuries such as sprains, strains, dislocations and bruises (sports injuries).
local treatment of back pain (sports injuries).

DicloAkut® forte Schmerzgel 2 % Gel contains the proven active ingredient diclofenac and belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medications are used for external application to the skin. The gel is massaged directly into the skin and develops its effect specifically on the painful area. It relieves pain, inhibits inflammation and helps to reduce swelling in acute muscle and joint complaints.

How to use

DicloAkut forte pain gel is applied twice daily (preferably in the morning and evening) to the painful area of the body and gently rubbed into the skin. The maximum daily dose of 8 g gel should not be exceeded.

Method of application: DicloAkut forte pain gel is intended for external use only.

Unscrew the cap before the first application to remove the safety seal. Use the outside of the cap to remove the safety seal at the opening of the tube by piercing and twisting.
Apply a small amount of DicloAkut forte pain gel to the painful or swollen area and gently rub it into the skin. The amount of gel required depends on the size of the area to be treated. The usual amount is 2-4 g of gel, corresponding to a 5-10 cm long strip of gel. This amount is sufficient to treat an area of 400-800 cm2 (corresponding to an area of e.g. 20 x 20 cm to 20 x 40 cm). Apply the minimum amount of DicloAkut forte pain gel necessary to relieve the pain and swelling.
After application, wipe your hands with a paper towel and wash them afterwards, unless they are the area to be treated, to avoid accidental contact with your mouth or eyes (see section 2). After use, dispose of the paper towel in the residual waste. Wait until DicloAkut forte pain gel has been absorbed into the skin before showering or bathing.

Duration of use:

Adults: Do not use DicloAkut forte Schmerzgel for longer than 2 weeks, unless your doctor recommends a longer period of use. Contact your doctor if the pain and swelling do not improve or worsen within 7 days.
Adolescents aged 14-18 years: If the medicine is needed for more than 7 days to treat pain or if the symptoms worsen, the patient/parents are advised to consult a doctor.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: diclofenac diethylamine. One gram of gel contains 23.2 mg diclofenac diethylamine, equivalent to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.
The other ingredients are Butylated hydroxytoluene (E321), propylene glycol (E1520), oleyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, diethylamine, paraffin oil, macrogol cetostearyl ether, carbomer 980, cocoyl caprylocaprate, purified water and perfume cream (contains hexyl benzoate, citral and eugenol).
