Diarrhoesan® juice is a traditional herbal medicine for the treatment of non-specific diarrhoea. The solution for diarrhoea: antispasmodic and soothing, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying.

This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product which is registered exclusively on the basis of many years of use for the above-mentioned indications. This medicinal product is used in adults, adolescents and children from 2 years of age. Use in children from 6 months to 2 years of age on medical advice. If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 days, consult your doctor.

Ingredients contained

• Pectins: From a nutritional point of view, pectins belong to the group of dietary fibres. They are found in the stems, flowers and leaves of various land plants. The pectin content varies from plant to plant and also depends on the age of the plant tissue. Vegetables and fruits with a high pectin content include apples, apricots, carrots and tomatoes.
• Truecamomile: True camomile (Matriciaria chamomilla or Matriciaria recutita) is a plant species from the Asteraceae family. Originally native to southern and eastern Europe and the Near East, chamomile can now be found throughout Europe, North America and Australia. The plant thrives in fields and wasteland, preferably on loam and clay soils. It can be found at high altitudes. Camomile is an ancient medicinal plant known for its distinctive, pleasant fragrance.

Directions for use

Adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age:

• Initial dosage - 30 ml
• Subsequent dosage - 1- 6 × 15 ml
• Maximum daily dose - 120 ml

Children from 4 - 5 years:

• Initial dosage - 20 ml
• Subsequent dosage - 1- 6 × 10 ml
• Maximum daily dose - 80 ml

Children from 1 - 3 years:

• Initial dosage - 15 ml
• Subsequent dosage - 1- 6 × 7.5 ml
• Maximum daily dose - 60 ml

Children from 6 - 11 months:

• Initial dosage - 10 ml
• Subsequent dosage - 1- 6 × 5 ml
• Maximum daily dose - 40 ml

Each pack contains a graduated measuring cup to measure the indicated dosages.

• Method of application: Oral use. Shake before use! The effect can be improved or occur more quickly if no food is consumed while taking Diarrhœsan® juice. Diarrhœsan® juice can also be given to children from 6 months to 6 years of age with drinks, soup or porridge. In many cases it is not necessary to change the diet, but care should be taken to ensure adequate fluid replacement.
• Duration of use: If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 days, consult your doctor.
• Use in children: Use in children under 6 months of age is not recommended due to lack of data. Use in children from 6 months to 2 years of age should only be carried out under medical supervision to prevent life-threatening water and electrolyte loss due to diarrhoea.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients per 100 g (=100 ml) are: 3.20 g apple pectin, 2.50 g fluid extract of chamomile flowers (Matricariae flos), drug-extract ratio 1:1, extractant: ethanol 55 % (V/V).
• The other ingredients are: Sodium benzoate, saccharin sodium, banana flavouring, aspartame, purified water, ethanol 96%.
• Total ethanol content 1.5% V/V.
