For the treatment of mycoses of the skin and skin folds, interdigital mycoses and superficial candidoses in children and adults. The official guidelines for the appropriate use of antifungal agents must be observed when using Daktarin 2% Cream.
The active ingredient miconazole nitrate relieves itching in the affected area, inhibits growth and stops the fungal infection from multiplying.
Dosage form
cream
How to use
- Dosage for children and adults: Apply a thin layer of the cream twice a day (morning and evening) to the affected areas of skin and the neighbouring skin area (approx. 1-2 cm).
Method of application:
- For use on the skin.
- Daktarin 2% Cream is intended for external use only.
- Massage the cream into the skin with your finger until it is completely absorbed. The cream should be applied sparingly to avoid maceration of the skin.
Duration of treatment:
The duration of treatment for skin mycoses depends on the severity, localisation and extent of the disease and should generally be set at 2-6 weeks. The signs of skin mycosis usually disappear significantly within the first 7 days after the start of treatment. To avoid recurrence, treatment should be continued until the fungal culture is negative, but at least 1 week after the symptoms have disappeared. There should be a treatment-free interval of 3-4 days between the last application and the preparation of a fungal culture so that any active ingredient residues do not affect the culture.
