ColoSan® - Oral solution for animals, 100 ml

ColoSan® - oral solution for animals is a herbal medicinal product for cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits and dogs for the treatment of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications

Supportive treatment for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract:

• For all types of feed flatulence
• Drunkenness in rabbits
• Support of liver activity and prevention of liver-related metabolic disorders
• Inflammatory diarrhoea (especially in calves)

The use of this herbal medicinal product in the above-mentioned areas of application is based exclusively on long-standing tradition. Clinically proven therapy is indicated for severe forms of these disorders.

Directions for use

For cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs and rabbits, the dosage is as follows, depending on body weight

• Weight class < 10 kg - 3 ml/10 kg (dose in ml/10 kg) - 300 mg/kg (dose in mg/kg) - Rabbits 1 kg: 0.3 ml
• Weight class 10 - 100 kg - 1 ml/10 kg (dose in ml/10 kg) - 100 mg/kg (dose in mg/kg) - Foal 75 kg: 7.5 ml
• Weight class 100 - 600 kg - 0.3 ml/10 kg (dose in ml/10 kg) - 30 mg/kg (dose in mg/kg) - Horse 500 kg: 15.0 ml

Method of application: For oral administration. Administer Colosan undiluted. Withdrawal with dosing aid (syringe): Insert syringe without needle into bottle cone. Remove the required amount of Colosan and administer orally to the animal. Insert into the side of the cheek pocket. Provide drinking water about ½ hour after administration. In the case of small-foam fermentation in cattle, sheep and goats: administer together with approx. 0.25-1 litre of cooking oil.

Frequency and duration of application: If necessary, repeat administration after 0.5-2 hours.

Contraindications: Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients (e.g. cinnamon or fennel oil) or any of the other ingredients.

Ingredients

• 100 g solution contains: Medicinally active ingredients: star anise oil 1 g, bitter fennel oil 1 g, caraway oil 1 g, cassia oil 1.7 g, sulphur 2.5 g.
• Other ingredients: Linseed oil ad 100 g Dark brown, viscous oily solution.
