Ciclocutan 80 mg/g nail polish containing the active ingredient was specially developed for the treatment of nail fungal infections. The active ingredient ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and has a fungicidal effect on all major pathogens that cause nail fungal infections.

Ciclocutan nail polish containing the active ingredient is used for the treatment of fungal nail infections. If you do not feel better or even worse after 6 months, consult your doctor. Suitable for adults and children from 6 years of age.

How to use

Method of application: To be applied to the nails. The recommended dose is: Unless otherwise prescribed, a thin layer of Ciclocutan nail polish containing the active ingredient is applied to the affected nail every other day for the first month. In the second month of treatment, the frequency of application can be reduced to at least two applications per week and from the third month of treatment to one application per week.

The following instructions must be observed when using Ciclocutan nail polish containing the active ingredient:

• Before starting treatment with Ciclocutan active ingredient-containing nail polish, remove as much of the damaged nail tissue as possible with scissors or the enclosed disposable nail files.
• Always use one of the enclosed alcohol swabs to clean the nail surface. This will also remove any varnish residue.
• Please apply the nail polish containing the active ingredient with one of the reusable spatulas included in the pack. 10 individual, reusable spatulas are provided in a transparent pack. The individual reusable spatulas must be broken out of the transparent packaging before use. A spatula holder is also included in the pack. Attaching a single spatula to the spatula holder makes it easier to apply the nail polish.
• Dip the spatula with the perforated surface into the glass bottle for each nail to be treated and do not wipe it on the neck of the bottle (there is a risk of the screw cap sticking to the bottle).
• Use the spatula to apply Ciclocutan nail polish containing the active ingredient evenly over the entire surface of the affected nail.
• The special shape of the spatula holder prevents the spatula from coming into contact with the surface (fungal spores remain on the spatula). You can put the spatula down from time to time without having to worry about fungal spores being transferred.
• Close the bottle tightly immediately after use to prevent the solution from drying out.
• Clean the spatula with the alcohol swab after use so that it can be used again. The entire layer of polish is removed once a week with alcohol swabs during the treatment period. Disposable nail files are used to remove as much of the altered nail tissue as possible. Do not use nail files that have been used to treat diseased nails on healthy nails. Do not use the nail files on visibly damaged nails.

Duration of treatment: The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the infestation. However, treatment must not exceed 6 months without the advice of a doctor. As a rule, the pathogens that cause nail fungus are destroyed during this period. If you are not sure whether treatment needs to be continued, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
