Directions for use
- Apply a thin layer of Candibene 1% cream to the affected areas 2–3 times a day. - Fungal infections in the genital area (Candida vulvitis, Candida balanitis) Apply to the affected areas 1–3 times a day. To prevent the symptoms from recurring, local treatment with Candibene 1% cream should be carried out in both the patient and her partner.
- Children and adolescents: Data from a limited number of newborns, infants, toddlers, children and adolescents provide no evidence of adverse effects associated with the use of Candibene 1% cream
- Method of application: Apply a thin layer of Candibene 1% cream to the affected areas, which have been carefully cleaned and dried. In the case of nail fungus, trim the nails short and roughen the surface to facilitate penetration of the cream. After applying the cream, cover the nails with an airtight protective dressing if necessary.
- Duration of treatment: Regular and sufficiently prolonged use of Candibene 1% cream is necessary for the treatment to be successful. To ensure complete healing, treatment should be continued for the recommended duration, even if the symptoms have already subsided. The duration of treatment for fungal skin infections depends on the severity, extent and location of the condition and is generally estimated at 2–6 weeks. Treatment should be continued until the pathological skin changes have completely disappeared and for at least a further 2 weeks after the symptoms have subsided. Fungal infections of the nails: Due to the slow growth of nails, a significantly longer treatment period is to be expected (rarely less than 3 months). Pityriasis versicolor usually clears up within 1–3 weeks, whilst erythrasma clears up within 2–4 weeks. For fungal infections in the genital area, a treatment duration of 1–2 weeks is usually sufficient.

- The active ingredient is clotrimazole. 1 g of cream contains 0.01 g of clotrimazole.
- The other ingredients are: cetylstearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, sorbitan monostearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl palmitate, Eutanol G, purified water.
