Areas of application

Blephagel is a hypoallergenic*, sterile gel for daily cleansing of the eyelids and eyelash bases.

Daily eyelid hygiene is recommended by ophthalmologists for the following eye conditions:

Blepharitis anterior and posterior (eyelid inflammation)
Dry eyes due to meibomian gland dysfunction (dysfunction of the sebaceous glands in the eyelids)
Involvement of the eyes and eyelids in acne rosacea (skin disease with redness on the face)
Involvement of the eyes and eyelids in seborrhoeic dermatitis (skin disease with redness and dandruff on the face)

Eyelid hygiene is also recommended before and after eye operations, which require careful cleaning of the eyelids and eyelash bases. Blephagel can also be recommended for contact lens wearers.

Properties

BLEPHAGEL is a sterile gel specially developed for the gentle, manual cleansing of sensitive to hypersensitive, irritated or damaged eyelids.

The specific composition of Blephagel:

promotes the adhesion of the gel to the eyelids
emulsifies (poloxamer 188), gently dissolves and removes impurities (mucus, incrustations, scales) from the eyelids and eyelash bases
maintains the natural moisture of the eyelids
refreshes, soothes and relaxes the eyelids
is non-greasy and leaves no residue

How to use

For the first application, press lightly on the top of the tube (on the Théa logo) for 3 seconds to pump the gel into the pump. Then turn the tube upside down and press the pump head 3 times to activate the pump mechanism.

Apply a small amount of blephagel to a compress by pressing the (pump) head (do not press on the tube). Use the compress to remove excess gel at the outlet of the pump head.
Close one eye and carefully apply the gel to the eyelid and eyelash roots of the closed eye in front of a mirror.
Gently run the blephagel-soaked compress over the eyelids and eyelash roots several times in circular movements until all impurities have been removed.
Carefully dab off any blephagel residue with a clean compress.
Repeat these 4 cleansing steps on the other eye.
