Biatain® Silicone Lite is a sterile, thin foam dressing with gentle silicone adhesion. It is ideal for low to moderately exuding wounds and its flexibility ensures that it is comfortable to wear, even on hard-to-reach areas of the body.
Excellent absorption thanks to the unique 3D foam
On contact with wound exudate, the 3D foam structure of Biatain® Silicone Lite curves and adapts to the wound bed, thus creating the conditions for excellent absorption - even under compression (2). The wound exudate is channelled vertically away from the wound by the unique 3D polymer foam structure and safely stored, creating a moist wound environment and providing optimal conditions for moist wound healing. The absorption capacity of Biatain® Silicone Lite ensures optimal exudate management, minimising the risk of maceration and leakage.

Application
Biatain® Silicone Lite can be used for a wide range of low to moderately exuding chronic and acute wounds, e.g. leg ulcers, pressure sores, non-infectious diabetic foot syndrome, skin donor sites, post-operative wounds and traumatic wounds (e.g. skin abrasions, tears or cuts in the skin). It can be used in combination with compression therapy and can remain in place for up to 7 days.

Biatain® Silicone Lite is a thin, particularly flexible and absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with a semi-permeable, waterproof and bacteria-proof top film and soft silicone adhesion.
