Relieves redness and itching caused by neurodermatitis/atopic eczema or dry skin
Skin irritations caused by neurodermatitis or dry skin have one thing in common: a damaged skin barrier. This skin barrier prevents harmful substances from penetrating the skin and retains moisture within the body. If it is damaged, this protective function is lost. This allows water to escape from the skin and irritants to penetrate the damaged skin more easily – which can cause the skin to dry out and lead to itching.
Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream contains a special lipid lamellar technology, which comprises lipids (including ceramides) with a skin-like, lamellar structure, which integrate into the skin barrier and help to rebuild the damaged skin barrier, in other words, repair it. By repairing the skin barrier, skin irritation is soothed, leading to relief from redness and itching.
Panthenol moisturises the treated areas of skin and creates optimal conditions for the skin’s natural regeneration.
TIP: To strengthen the damaged skin barrier in the long term and keep the skin moisturised, it is recommended to use Bepanthol® SensiDaily Intensive Care as part of your daily skincare routine.
Indications for Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream
Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream is suitable, for example, for use on reddened, itchy areas of skin on the face, in the creases of the knees and elbows, on the chest or all over the body.
The itching, which can often occur in conditions such as atopic dermatitis, triggers an urge to scratch – which causes further damage to the skin. Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream was developed to break this ‘vicious circle’.

Directions for use
- Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream is a light cream designed to repair the skin’s protective barrier. It soothes symptoms such as redness and itching, reduces the urge to scratch and supports the regeneration of the affected skin.
- Directions for use: Apply Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream to the reddened, itchy areas of skin. You may also use Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream over a longer period.
- Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream is suitable for adults, children and infants (from 1 month of age) and can also be used during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding. When using the cream whilst breastfeeding, it is important to wipe off any residue before the next feed.
- For mild forms of atopic dermatitis, the cream can be used as a basic treatment.
- Bepanthen® Sensiderm Anti-Itch Cream is also suitable as a complement to a prescription ointment during treatment to help repair the skin’s protective barrier. It is also recommended after completing a course of treatment with a prescription ointment to stabilise and strengthen the skin barrier.
