Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol Bath Additive, 1000 ml

Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol Bath Additive is used for the supportive treatment of all skin diseases that are accompanied by dehydration, especially if they are accompanied by itching.

Moisturising medicinal oil bath for the symptomatic treatment of skin diseases (dermatoses) with dry and very itchy skin.

This medicinal product is used for adults, adolescents and children from 1 year of age. Use in children under 1 year of age is only recommended by a doctor. If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 weeks, consult your doctor.

Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol - Bath Additive must not be used - if:

• You are allergic (hypersensitive) to refined soya oil, soya, peanut or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
• In fresh purulent forms of psoriasis (pustular psoriasis, psoriasis with pustules, sometimes with fever and impaired general condition).

Full baths - i.e. also those with Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol - Bath Additive - should not be used for:

• Major skin injuries and unclear acute skin diseases,
• severe febrile and infectious diseases,
• cardiac insufficiency (heart failure),
• High blood pressure should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Directions for use

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: for a full bath (approx. 150 litres) use two measuring cups (30 ml) for a partial bath (5 litres) use approx. 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml).
• Children from 1 to 11 years: for a children's bath (approx. 25 litres), use 1/3 measuring cup (5 ml). Children under 1 year of age should only be used as recommended by a doctor.
• The inner part of the screw cap can be used as a measuring cup to measure the required quantities.
• Method of application: For application to the skin. Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol - Bath Additive is added to the bath water and mixed in well until evenly distributed. The bath water temperature should not significantly exceed 36 °C, as the moisturising effect slowly diminishes at higher temperatures. To treat itching, the temperature should be 32 °C or as low as is comfortable. The duration of the bath should be determined individually, but should not exceed 15 - 20 minutes. For children, an application time of only a few minutes is usually sufficient. The frequency of use of Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol - Bath Additive depends on the type and extent of the symptoms. In general, baths at intervals of two to three days are recommended. Daily bathing is also possible. Balneum Hermal Plus Polidocanol - Bath Additive can also be used for showering. The product is applied undiluted to the moistened skin and then showered off. After bathing or showering, only dab the skin lightly with a towel. Drying and rubbing the skin vigorously reduces the therapeutic effect. Shake the product before use!

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: refined soya oil and polidocanol 100 g liquid bath additive contains: 82.95 g refined soya oil and 15.0 g polidocanol.
• The other ingredients are Palmitoyl ascorbic acid, propylene glycol, fragrance (contains D-limonene, linalool), glyceryl stearate citrate.
