Baldriparan® For the night contains a particularly high dose of valerian root extract. Thanks to the herbal active ingredient, Baldriparan® For the Night accelerates falling asleep naturally, promotes sleep through the night and improves the quality of sleep - without any habituation effect. Unlike some chemically-synthesised sleeping pills, the natural sleep rhythm is not altered and there is no need to worry about drowsiness the following day. Another advantage is that there is no potential for dependency, which means that the lozenges are also suitable for long-term use. Directions for use

Use in adults, older people and adolescents aged 12 years and over

• The recommended dose is 1 coated tablet half an hour to an hour before going to bed and, if necessary, one dose earlier in the evening.

Use in children

• The use of Baldriparan for the night in children under 12 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data available.

Method of administration

• Take the tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably with a glass of water). The tablets can be taken with or without meals. Due to the gradual onset of action, valerian root is not suitable for the acute treatment of mild restlessness and sleep disorders. In order to achieve optimum treatment success, continuous intake over 2-4 weeks is recommended.
• Caution: This medicine may impair the ability to react and the ability to drive.

Ingredients

The active substance is: dry extract of valerian root. Each coated tablet contains 441.35mg extract (as dry extract) of Valeriana officinalis L., s.l., Radix (corresponding to 2.65g-3.27g valerian root). Extractant: ethanol 70% V/V.

The other ingredients are: Tablet core: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin and microcrystalline cellulose .Tablet coating: calcium carbonate, carnauba wax, indigo carmine (E132), macrogol 6000, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, povidone K25, refined castor oil, shellac, Arabic gum, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171) and bleached beeswax.
