BIOGELAT® NaturCarotin Combined Capsules are a dietary supplement designed to support and maintain a tan. Contains vitamins C and E, selenium and natural carotenoids from the marine algae Dunaliella salina.

To enjoy the sun on holiday without any regrets, the body needs to be supplied with a greater amount of carotenoids to act as a protective shield.
To support and maintain your tan, you should therefore ensure an adequate and regular intake of carotenoids.
The carotenoids combined in BIOGELAT® NaturCarotin are extracted from one of the world’s most carotenoid-rich plants, the Australian marine algae (Dunaliella salina), and are, of course, free from colourings.
In addition, the antioxidants vitamin C and vitamin E contained in the product help to neutralise free radicals from within and counteract cell damage.

Active ingredients

Carotenoids protect human cells from attack by free radicals, which are produced in particular when sunbathing. Our bodies require at least 3–6 mg of natural carotenoids daily. Vegetables and fruit with bright yellow or orange flesh (apricots, mangoes, carrots), green leafy vegetables and the Australian marine algae Dunaliella salina are particularly rich in these active ingredients. Our bodies therefore only receive the recommended amount of carotenoids if we eat generous portions of fruit and vegetables every day. During periods of high stress, such as a holiday in the sun, the body requires an even greater amount as a protective shield, which is difficult to obtain solely through diet. In such cases, vitamin supplements containing natural carotenoids, produced from renewable raw materials, can help.

Important: Look for products containing natural carotene – such as that found in BIOGELAT® NaturCarotin capsules. This is more readily utilised by the body than pure, synthetic beta-carotene.

Everyone is exposed to environmental toxins on a daily basis: increased UV radiation, air pollution, cigarette smoke, etc. This leads to an increased formation of so-called free radicals in our bodies. These aggressive oxygen molecules are normally used to combat bacteria or viruses. Too many of them pose a risk, as they can damage the body’s cells. Premature ageing of the cells is one possible consequence. Natural substances known as radical scavengers or antioxidants can help mitigate the harmful effects of free radicals.

Vitamin C plays a vital role in neutralising so-called ‘free radicals’ and in the formation of connective tissue. In the case of broken bones and wounds, vitamin C can lead to a faster recovery. It also improves the absorption of iron.

Vitamin E plays an important protective role in the human body through its ability to trap and neutralise so-called ‘free radicals’ (= unstable, highly reactive atoms or molecules). These free radicals are produced in greater quantities as a result of harmful environmental pollution and stress, but also due to increased alcohol and cigarette consumption.

Selenium is considered an essential trace element, i.e. a substance vital for life that must be supplied to the body through diet. In the body, selenium is found particularly in the kidneys, the liver, the muscles and the skeleton. Selenium is mainly obtained from meat (liver, kidneys), seafood, milk and vegetables.
