BIO-H-TIN® Vitamin H 5 mg Tablets is an over-the-counter medicine containing vitamin H for the treatment of biotin deficiency. Ensures normal, healthy hair and strong nails.

Vitamin H - also known as the hair and nail vitamin - makes a significant contribution to maintaining healthy hair and nails. It stimulates the formation of keratin, the building material of nails and hair. Soft and brittle nails are strengthened and the quality of brittle or dull hair is improved.

BIO-H-TIN® Vitamin H Tablets effectively prevent a vitamin H deficiency. The pure vitamin preparation provides the body with exactly the amount of biotin it needs for healthy and strong hair and nail growth. Visible results are also achieved with thin, dull hair and splintering and brittle fingernails.

In addition, vitamin H deficiency symptoms caused by reduced food intake (e.g. slimming diets, loss of appetite) and increased vitamin H requirements (e.g. pregnancy, breastfeeding, growth phase, competitive sport) are remedied and prevented.

How to use

The recommended dose is: Take ½ tablet daily (corresponding to 2.5 mg biotin). Less than 0.2 mg biotin per day is sufficient for prophylaxis.
For the treatment of multiple carboxylase deficiency: Take 1 to 2 tablets daily (corresponding to 5 to 10 mg biotin). Preparations with a lower biotin content are available for lower dosages, e.g. BIO-H-TIN Vitamin H 2.5 mg with a biotin content of 2.5 mg per tablet.
To cut the tablet exactly in half, place it on a firm surface with the notch facing upwards and press on it with your finger.
Method of use: Take BIO-H-TIN Vitamin H unchewed with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).
Duration of use: BIO-H-TIN Vitamin H is taken until the biotin levels in the blood normalise. The duration depends on the course of the underlying disease. Please consult your doctor about this. In the very rare case of biotin-dependent, multiple carboxylase deficiency, it is taken for life.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: 5 mg biotin.
The other ingredients are: Microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised starch (from maize), carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.) [vegetable].
