BACTIGRAS Antiseptic ointment compress, sterile, 5 x 5 cm, 50 ST

BACTIGRAS is a sterile cotton gauze dressing with a special weave (leno weave) and an impregnation of white soft paraffin with 0.5 % chlorhexidine acetate.

BACTIGRAS is a soft paraffin gauze dressing with chlorhexidine, which serves as an adhesive protection between the wound and the secondary dressing. This enables atraumatic dressing changes for the patient. The open dressing structure allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing. A special weave prevents fraying when the dressing is cut to size. BACTIGRAS is effective against a broad spectrum of germs and thus reduces the risk of bacterial colonisation of the wound.

BACTIGRAS contains an antiseptic (0.5% chlorhexidine acetate) with a broad spectrum of activity. The dressing can therefore be used for infection prophylaxis and treatment. Thanks to its white paraffin coating, BACTIGRAS protects the wound and secondary dressing from sticking together. This enables atraumatic dressing changes for the patient. The open dressing structure of the cotton gauze allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing, such as an absorbent dressing pad. A special weave prevents fraying when the dressing is cut to size.

How to use

BACTIGRAS is for external use only. Bactigras is suitable for a variety of wounds where there is a risk of infection or for infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotic therapy. Bactigras can be used to treat minor burns and scalds, wounds with skin loss (lacerations, abrasions, excisions and graft wounds) and leg ulcers.

Composition: Sterile cotton gauze with soft white paraffin base BP and 0.5 % chlorhexidine acetate BP. 10 cm2 contain 5 mg chlorhexidine acetate.
