Dosage form
How to use
- Dosage: The recommended dose is 1 spray of Azelastine POS Nasal Spray per nostril twice daily (morning and evening). This corresponds to a daily dose of 0.56 mg azelastine hydrochloride.
- Use in children and adolescents: Due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy, Azelastine POS Nasal Spray must not be used in children under 6 years of age.
- Duration of use: Azelastine POS Nasal Spray can be used until the symptoms subside, but should not be used continuously for more than 6 months. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms worsen or if you do not notice a significant improvement after more than 3 days of using Azelastine POS Nasal Spray.
- Method of application: Azelastine POS nasal spray is intended for nasal application. Azelastine POS nasal spray should always be used by the same person.
- Blow your nose before using Azelastine POS Nasal Spray.
- Remove the protective cap.
- Operate the pump until the solution comes out (usually 1 to 2 times).
- Keep your head in an upright position, do not tilt it backwards.
- Insert the nasal adapter into the nostril and pump once, inhaling gently.
- Repeat in the other nostril.
- Wipe off the nasal adapter and close it with the protective cap.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is azelastine hydrochloride. 1 0.14 ml spray contains 0.14 mg azelastine hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are sodium edetate, hypromellose, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, citric acid, sodium chloride, purified water.
