- A hydrophilic, breathable, highly absorbent layer of polyurethane foam. The wound exudate is absorbed into the polyurethane foam.
- A transparent, vapour-permeable polyurethane film that is impermeable to water and bacteria and is characterised by an optimal MVTR value*. Excess exudate can evaporate through the polyurethane film.

Dosage form
Application
- Askina® foam wound dressings are particularly suitable for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. The open-pored foam structure allows the exudate to penetrate quickly into the wound dressing, where it is reliably trapped and retained.
- Wound fillers are not required for wounds up to 2 cm deep, as the foam structure bulges into the wound bed while absorbing exudate, thus creating good contact with the wound bed.
- Fixation with a circular fixation or compression bandage on the lower leg or foot.
- Fixation at the edges is possible with roll plasters of the appropriate width. Ensure that the adhesive properties are gentle on the skin.
- Fixation with a flat fixation fleece at points where movement and shear forces act.
