Directions for use
- Adults and children (aged 6 years and over) should instil 1 drop of Allergo-COMOD eye drops into each eye 4 times a day. If the effect is insufficient, the daily dose may be increased by applying the drops 6 times a day (1 drop per eye) or doubled to a maximum of 8 times a day (1 drop per eye).
- Notes: Please follow the instructions for use, as Allergo-COMOD eye drops may otherwise not work properly. Allergo-COMOD eye drops should always be administered in such a way as to avoid the tip of the dropper coming into contact with the eye or the skin of the face.
- Duration of use: Once your symptoms have subsided, you should continue treatment with Allergo-COMOD eye drops for as long as you remain exposed to the allergenic substances (house dust, fungal spores, pollen, etc.). If you wish to use Allergo-COMOD eye drops for a prolonged period, you should consult your doctor to determine whether treatment is necessary.
- Method of administration: For instillation into the eye.
- Remove the protective cap before use.
- Before using Allergo-COMOD eye drops for the first time, press the base of the bottle repeatedly until the first drop emerges from the tip. The bottle is then ready for subsequent use.
- Hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing downwards, as shown in the diagram, and press down on the base of the bottle continuously until it stops. This activates the mechanism for dispensing a drop. Thanks to the special valve technology of the COMOD® system, the size and speed of the drop remain constant regardless of the pressure applied to the base of the bottle. Tilt your head back slightly, gently pull down your lower eyelid and instil one drop into the lower conjunctival sac as described. Close your eyes slowly.
- After use, reseal the bottle carefully. To prevent the solution from crystallising in the pump mechanism, the protective cap should be replaced after each use.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is sodium cromoglicate 20 mg/ml.
- The other ingredients are sodium edetate x 2 H₂O, sorbitol and water for injections.
- 1 ml = 30 drops. Note: Allergo-COMOD eye drops do not contain any preservatives.
