3M™ ADAPTIC™ TOUCH non-adherent silicone wound contact dressing reduces the risk of secondary dressing adhesion and minimises pain during dressing changes.
3M™ ADAPTIC™ TOUCH is a wound contact dressing that combines cellulose acetate with a slightly adhesive silicone. The open mesh structure of the wound contact dressing allows exudate to drain freely into an absorbent secondary wound dressing, reducing the risk of exudate accumulation and maceration.
- The soft silicone prevents the secondary dressing from sticking to the wound, protecting newly formed tissue from trauma and minimising pain during dressing changes
- 3M™ ADAPTIC™ TOUCH can be cut to size if necessary, the wound dressing does not fray
- Can be cut to size

How to use
Tips for use:
- Before use, the wound bed must be prepared as described in the relevant wound care protocols.
- If necessary, the dressing can be cut to the correct size with sterile scissors before removing the protective strips.
- Carefully place on the wound bed.
- Cover the dressing with a suitable secondary dressing, depending on the type of wound, its location, the degree of exudation and the condition of the surrounding skin.
- Select ADAPTIC TOUCH® in a size larger than the wound to ensure that the dressing can be placed around the wound edges on the intact skin.
- If more than one ADAPTIC TOUCH® dressing is required, care must be taken to ensure that the dressings overlap to prevent the secondary dressing from sticking to the wound. The overlap should be minimised to prevent the openings in the mesh from closing.
- The frequency of dressing changes depends on the degree of exudation, the condition of the wound and the surrounding skin.
- ADAPTIC TOUCH® can be left on the wound for several days, while the secondary dressing can be changed more frequently if necessary.
- If the primary dressing appears dry at dressing change, it can be moistened with sterile saline solution before it is removed.
- ADAPTIC TOUCH® does not fray and does not form lint.
