vitaldoc® nettle seeds, extracted from the flowers of the stinging nettle plant (Urtica dioica), are a long-established local superfood with a slightly nutty flavour. Thanks to their high protein content, they are the perfect plant-based source of protein. Stinging nettle seeds contain roughly as much iron (28 mg per 100 g) as spinach; however, our bodies can process the mineral in stinging nettles more effectively thanks to their low oxalic acid content.

Directions

Take two teaspoons of the seeds daily as a natural dietary supplement. You can eat them straight away or add them to smoothies, yoghurt or muesli. An infusion made from the seeds can be enjoyed as a tea. Pour hot water over a teaspoon of seeds, leave to infuse and drink for gentle, nutrient-rich support. Sprinkle the seeds over salads, soups or dishes to add a protein-rich and nutrient-rich element.
