The pure encapsulations® zinc 15 capsules contain the trace element zinc bound to picolinic acid. Zinc is important for the immune system, the acid-base metabolism and the maintenance of normal skin.

Zinc is a real all-rounder. Your body uses it for a whole range of functions, such as skin, nails, hair and maintaining vision by supporting the metabolism of vitamin A. But your immune system in particular relies on zinc. However, your immune system in particular relies on a supply of zinc as it activates the T cells.

Your body cannot produce trace elements itself, which is why a good, regular supply of zinc through your diet is so important. However, there are also numerous factors that inhibit the absorption of zinc. These include smoking, a meatless diet, but also a high intake of phytic acid, which is mainly found in cereals and pulses. This is because phytate can reduce the bioavailability of zinc by up to 45%.

Zinc picolinate - bioavailability meets tolerability

Zinc 15 from Pure Encapsulations provides vegan, highly bioavailable zinc picolinate. Each capsule provides 15 mg of the trace element. The compound with picolinic acid has very good bioavailability, meaning it can be easily absorbed by the body and quickly reaches where it is needed. Thanks to the hypoallergenic production of all our products, our zinc is also characterised by good tolerability for allergy sufferers and people with food intolerances. This makes zinc picolinate an ideal supplement to the diet.
