L-lysine

Together with L-arginine and L-histidine, L-lysine belongs to the group of basic amino acids. As the body is not able to produce the amino acid itself, lysine must be supplied through food. As the counterpart of the amino acid L-arginine, the amino acid L-lysine is part of a balanced system. If the balance is shifted in one direction by an unbalanced diet, the balance in the body's amino acid pool can be disrupted.

In addition to the amino acid lysine, L-Lysine plus from Pure Encapsulations® also contains the trace elements selenium and zinc, which contribute to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The food supplement made from pure substances is ideal for covering increased requirements and for meeting the needs of primarily vegetarian or vegan diets.
