Artemisia annua is an annual plant of the daisy family. The aromatic, fragrant plant grows up to 250 cm high. Its seeds overwinter in the soil and germinate in spring. The annual mugwort does not need much water and thrives well in poor soil. Its large and multipinnate leaves are reminiscent of fern leaves. Artemisia annua has an intense scent of camphor, thyme and mint. From September, all Artemisia plants are adorned with small, inconspicuous flowers.
