Its active ingredients include crocin, which is responsible for inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and other mood-lifting neurotransmitters such as noradrenaline and dopamine. Meanwhile, scientific studies have also shown that the world’s most expensive spice can indeed help with depressive moods.
