Its ingredients include the main active ingredient crocin, which is responsible for inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and other mood-enhancing neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine and dopamine. However, scientific studies have now also shown that the world's most expensive spice can actually help with depression.
