ellaOne® prevents pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure if taken on time. It works by postponing ovulation. As a result, sperm and the fertilisable egg do not meet and pregnancy is prevented.

ellaOne® is considered the most effective morning-after pill because it can postpone ovulation even on the two days with the highest risk of pregnancy (when LH levels rise).

Indications for use:

• Emergency contraception within 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure.

How to use

• Take one tablet as soon as possible but no later than 120 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure.
• Special instructions: If you continue to have sexual intercourse after taking ellaOne®, it is important that you also use a condom for contraception. If vomiting occurs within 3 hours of taking the pill, another morning-after pill must be taken.
• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the other ingredients. Ingredients

• Qualitative and quantitative composition: Each tablet contains 30 mg ulipristal acetate. Other ingredient with known effect: Each tablet contains 237 mg lactose (as monohydrate).
• List of other ingredients: Tablet core: lactose monohydrate, povidone, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate. Film coating: polyvinyl alcohol (E1203), macrogol (E1521), talc (E553b), titanium dioxide (E171), polysorbate 80 (E433), iron(III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E172), muscovite (E555).
