- easystop® is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults over 18 years of age if causal therapy is not possible. If causal therapy is possible, racecadotril can be given as a complementary therapy.
Dosage form
Directions for use
- Adults: One capsule 3 times a day, preferably before the main meals.
- Duration of treatment: Treatment should be continued until the appearance of 2 formed stools. The maximum duration of treatment is 3 days. If there is no improvement or even a deterioration after 3 days, the doctor should be consulted.
- Method of administration: The recommended dose is: glass of water. Take one capsule 3 times a day, preferably before main meals, without chewing, with a Start therapy on the first day of treatment regardless of the time of day.
- Elderly patients: Dose adjustment is not necessary in elderly patients.
- Caution is advised in patients with impaired liver or kidney function due to possible prolongation of the duration of action.
Ingredients
- The active substance is racecadotril. Each capsule contains 100 mg racecadotril.
- The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, pregelatinised maize starch, magnesium stearate, highly dispersed hydrophobic silicon dioxide, gelatine, yellow iron oxide (E172), titanium dioxide (E171) and purified water.
