Propolis Capsules Plus are high-dose and contain zinc to support the body and immune system in times of stress, heavy physical exertion or during a cold.

Each capsule contains 170 mg propolis, made from 320 mg raw propolis, as well as zinc. The trace element contributes to the normal functioning of the body's immune system and is therefore an ideal supplement.

What is propolis?

Up to 60,000 bees live and work together in a beehive in a very confined space at around 35°C. There is a busy coming and going. Propolis is therefore used by the bees to prevent germs from entering the hive. Not only the entrance hole, but the entire hive is covered with a thin layer of propolis. More than 300 different natural substances contained in propolis protect the hive from the spread of diseases - and have done so for thousands of years.

How is propolis made?

Propolis is the antibacterial protective shield of honey bees. The raw material is collected by bees as a resinous substance from the buds and bark of various trees. Only the most experienced and oldest bees in a colony take on this important task. They proceed very carefully in their search for suitable plant substances. The collected selection is then refined by the bees with ferment, pollen and wax and processed into propolis, a unique natural product. Careful harvesting means that up to 100 g of propolis can be extracted from a beehive each year. In order to disturb the life of the bees as little as possible, modern processes make use of the bees' natural behaviour.

The beecraft® propolis quality

The composition of propolis is different in every region, depending on the tree and plant populations. However, the positive effects on the beehive are comparable all over the world: this is characterised by the content of secondary plant substances, the so-called polyphenols or phytamines. These are found as bioactive substances in all plants and significantly determine the quality of propolis.
The beecraft brand uses a standardised propolis that contains at least 30 % phytamines (300 mg polyphenols/g propolis). A standardised production process and the unique combination of pure propolis from different regions of origin ensure a high variety and a consistent concentration of the valuable ingredients.
