- Millet seed extract contains valuable and important hair nutrients and trace elements, as well as a particularly high proportion of silicon (silicic acid), linoleic acid, phytosterols and the terpenoid miliacin.
- Grape seed extract contains a particularly high amount of flavonoids (oligomeric proanthocyanidins = OPC), which are a particularly strong antioxidant and can therefore help to protect cells from free radicals and premature destruction. Grape seed extract also unfolds its antioxidant effect, particularly in the skin. Various studies suggest that grape seed extract can have a positive effect on beautiful skin due to its antioxidant properties.
- Biotin (also originally called "vitamin H" when it was discovered because of its functions) contributes to the maintenance of healthy hair, fulfils important functions in cell division, including in the scalp, and is important for amino acid metabolism.
- The sulphur-containing amino acids L-cysteine and L-methionine are essential components of hair. They are therefore included as a core component of the formula in Hair Plus.
- L-arginine is an amino acid that is involved in both the regulation of blood flow and hair growth.
- Pantothenic acid is important for the normal balance of steroid hormones and supports the healthy balance of hormones. The B vitamin also contributes to healthy skin moisture and helps the skin to protect itself against dryness.
- Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen synthesis. Collagen structures form healthy hair, skin and scalp, among other things. It helps to regenerate depleted vitamin E, which can protect against oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is partly responsible for the malfunctioning or premature death of cells.
- Zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal, healthy hair, and the copper contained in amitamin® Hair Plus contributes to normal hair pigmentation, i.e. hair colour. It can also contribute to cell protection and protection against oxidative stress.
- Iron is important for the normal function of the immune system and is important for the transport of oxygen in the body, especially for the transport of oxygen and energy to the hair roots. Women between the ages of 14 and mid-fifties in particular need a lot of iron.
