What is Zahn-Fit®?

ZAHN-FIT® is a Class 2a medical device. ZAHN-FIT® is a safe, zinc oxide-based dental filling material that hardens on contact with saliva. It is used to fill cavities in the tooth that arise following the loss of a gold, amalgam, composite or ceramic filling. Once applied, ZAHN-FIT® provides adequate, temporary protection for the patient. You can arrange a dental appointment at your leisure, without any time pressure. Dentists are familiar with temporary fillings of this kind and can remove ZAHN-FIT® without any problems.

The filling materials commonly used today have only a limited lifespan. The likelihood of unexpectedly losing a filling increases as the fillings age. This is where ZAHN-FIT® comes in as a reliable and extremely comfortable temporary filling.

ZAHN-FIT® in your first-aid kit – take care when travelling abroad

• Whilst very high standards of hygiene have been achieved in dental procedures in industrialised countries, this cannot be taken for granted in less developed countries.
• Hygiene standards in these countries are often questionable, and the risk of contracting, for example, AIDS or hepatitis B is significantly higher there. It is therefore particularly important for anyone travelling to such regions who needs to see a dentist there to be cautious. If you have ZAHN-FIT® in your first-aid kit, you can prevent the risk of infection in the event of a dental emergency.

Directions for use

ZAHN-FIT® is ready to use and does not need to be mixed beforehand. Please follow the instructions below. Consult a dentist as soon as possible afterwards. Clean your teeth thoroughly before use.

1. Take a small amount of ZAHN-FIT®
2. Apply the paste to the tooth to be filled and then gently press your teeth together. The paste hardens on contact with saliva.
3. Wait for one minute, then rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Do not swallow the water.
4. Do not bite down on the new filling or apply any further pressure for at least 15 minutes.
5. For hard-to-reach areas, use the spatula provided.
6. If the filling is very large or painful, see a dentist as soon as possible.
7. Consult a dentist as soon as possible (within 28 days).
8. In cold conditions, it may be difficult to remove the filling material from the container. In such cases, warm the container in your hand and repeat the application process.

Please note: Do not return any leftover Zahn-Fit® to the container after removal.

Storage: Seal tightly after use and store in a cool, dry place
