What is Zahn-Fit®?

Zahn-Fit® as an interim solution for dental emergencies

ZAHN-FIT® is a class 2a medical device. ZAHN-FIT® is a safe, zinc oxide-based dental filling material that hardens on contact with saliva. It is used to fill cavities in the tooth that occur after the loss of a gold, amalgam, plastic or ceramic filling. Once applied, ZAHN-FIT® provides adequate, temporary protection for the dental patient. Dentists are familiar with temporary fillings of this type and can remove ZAHN-FIT® without any problems.

The filling materials commonly used today only have a limited shelf life. The probability of losing a filling unexpectedly increases with the age of the fillings. This is where ZAHN-FIT® offers a reliable and extremely comfortable temporary solution.

ZAHN-FIT® in your first-aid kit - caution when travelling abroad

• While a very high standard of hygiene has been achieved for dental procedures in industrialised countries, this cannot be taken for granted in less developed countries.
• The standard of hygiene in these countries is often questionable and the risk of contracting Aids or hepatitis B, for example, is much higher there. It is therefore particularly important for anyone travelling to such regions and having to visit a dentist there to be careful. If ZAHN-FIT® is in your first-aid kit, you can prevent the risk of infection in a dental emergency.

Application

Zahn-Fit® can be used directly and does not need to be mixed first. Please follow the instructions below for use. Consult your dentist as soon as possible afterwards. Clean the teeth thoroughly before use.

1. Take a small amount of ZAHN-FIT®
2. Apply the paste to the tooth to be filled and then gently press the teeth together. The paste hardens on contact with saliva.
3. Wait one minute and then rinse the mouth with lukewarm water. Do not swallow the water.
4. Do not bite on the new filling or exert any further pressure for at least 15 minutes.
5. Use the enclosed spatula for hard-to-reach areas.
6. In the case of very large or painful fillings, consult a dentist as soon as possible.
7. Consult a dentist as soon as possible (within 28 days).
8. In cold conditions, it may be difficult to remove the filling material from the container. In such cases, warm the container in your hand and repeat the application procedure.

Please note: Do not return Zahn-Fit® residues to the container after removal.

Storage: Close tightly after use and store in a cool, dry place
