Product information "Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD BTE measuring device"

Beipackzettel ansehen

The Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD BTE meter reliably measures your blood glucose from all blood samples with the GDH-FAD enzyme.

For people with diabetes, blood glucose monitoring is a daily routine. Glucose or blood sugar is the main source of energy in the body. Simply insert the Wellion NEWTON blood glucose test strip into the test strip slot. The meter activates automatically to draw the drop of blood at the tip of the test strip. After the countdown, the Wellion NEWTON blood glucose meter shows the current value in large digits on the backlit display.

The Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD BTE meter can measure blood glucose from all blood samples (capillary, venous, arterial and neonatal), which is particularly important in professional environments such as hospitals. The Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD BTE measuring system can be used to measure blood glucose in newborns as it has a haematocrit range of 10 - 70%.

Measure blood glucose with the Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD BTE meter and upload your test results via Bluetooth to your Android or iOS system as well as to a computer and track changes in blood glucose levels over time. This is where our Wellion Sidiary data management system can come into play. Manage your data via an app - for your personalised diabetes management.

You have the option of marking measured values (BEFORE and AFTER meal markers, sports markers, medication/insulin markers), which allows a better view of the blood glucose values. The last 500 blood glucose readings are stored in the memory. In addition, average blood glucose values for 1, 7, 14, 30, 60 and 90 days can be called up.

Hyperalarm / ketoacidosis perception limit

The hyperalert limit is ideal for helping you to recognise a risk of ketoacidosis in good time. If your meter shows a hyperalert at the same time as your glucose reading, it is recommended to perform a ketone measurement.

The Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD BTE meters exceed all criteria of the new EN ISO 15197:2015 standard

Application
The following steps show you how to use the Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD meter, the test strips, the lancing device and the sterile lancets to measure your blood glucose concentration. Follow the steps listed here:

  1. Insert the test strip (Wellion logo up and white side down) into the test strip slot. The Wellion NEWTON GDH-FAD blood glucose meter switches on automatically and displays the test strip and blood drop symbol.
  2. Select a blood sampling site. A small amount of blood from the fingertip (or forearm, ball of thumb) is required. Touch the drop of blood to the sample collection area of the test strip. This should be done within 2 minutes, otherwise the device will switch off automatically.
  3. After a sufficient amount of blood has been detected, a 5-second countdown appears on the display of the measuring device and then the measured blood glucose value is displayed. The result is automatically stored in the memory. Press the eject button to remove the test strip and the meter switches off automatically.
